This is a project I had made in my second year at uni using their own in house framework. For this project I had opted to focus on developing using the ps4 controller exclusively for the game.

The objective of the game is to basically survive as long as possible and to try and get the highest score possible

Menu Controls

Action Performed

D-Pad Down

Shifts the menu selection down one

D-Pad Up

Shifts the menu selection up one

Cross/X

Selects the current menu option if it is a selectable option

Circle

Goes back an option on the menu

PAUSE SCREEN

Circle

Resumes the game

Pause/Option button(share button on the dual sense)

Resumes the game

Options Screen

D-Pad Left

Decreases the volume until it hits its lower limit

D-Pad Right

Increases the volume until it hits upper limit

Credits/Splash screen

Any button pressed

Moves on to the next menu scene

 

 

Playing controls

Action Performed

Left Stick X input

Will move the player a relative amount to the controller and turn them to face that direction of the stick pointing

Cross/X

Will make the player jump up

Square

Make the player shoot a bullet with a delay between each shot if held. Also turns to face the direction they are shooting from

Pause/Options button (share if it’s the ps5 controller)

Will pause the game

R1

When held it will bring up the weapon selection screen for the player to decide on the weapon to use

L1

Allows for the camera angle to be adjust so you can view the world at a slightly different angle in the world

Right Stick(weapon select)

Allows for the player to select one of three weapon types being that of a normal shot, a fast shot and a shot gun blast

Right Stick (Camera Adjustment)

This will allow the player to adjust the camera position slightly as long as the weapon select is also not active as that takes priority over that in terms of the controls
